Scott Ainslie is an award-winning blues and roots guitarist, singer and story-teller, who has spent more than 30 years exploring the roots of American music, from the old-time Southern Appalachian fiddle and banjo traditions to Black gospel and blues. He plays a variety of acoustic instruments with affection, authority and power. Scott has six CDs to his name and performs around the world. His latest recording The Last Shot Got Him earned an Album of the Year award. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (Washington, DC) and an award for “outstanding contributions to the fine arts.” He is a masterful historian, storyteller and musician, who will “present a wonderful palette of sounds and stories that will delight the ear, awaken the mind, and satisfy the heart.”
