Homeschool Education: Okotoks, A Prairie Community

Thursday, Nov 7, 2019 at 10:00AM

Okotoks Museum & Archives

Take advantage of an opportunity to bring your homeschooled children to the museum for a curriculum-connected education program. Okotoks, A Prairie Community engages students in a presentation using old photos and stories about Okotoks landmarks and entrepreneurs, as well as the history of significant buildings in town and first schools. A scavenger hunt will give children an opportunity to engage with current exhibitions before participating in a hands-on activity examining artifacts. Note: Caregivers are asked to stay with children during the program but do not need to register; younger siblings or infants are welcome when accompanying caregivers.
