The fifth and final concert in the 2023-24 On the Edge Concert Series features Southern Alberta's own Lucky Sonne (Luke Colborne Band) on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 pm.
CKUA announcers have called Lucky Sonne an undiscovered treasure. Discover their meticulous songcraft, five critically lauded records, and high-energy performances. Influences include the four Bs: Beatles, Beach Boys, Byrds, and Bob Dylan, and an N: Neil Young. Songwriter Luke Colborne has distilled these influences into a distinctive sound that artfully brings classic tones together with a joyous vibe that never feels rushed, brimming with a cheeky sentimentality that reminds us there’s always a big heart behind a wry smile.
Our concerts are held in the beautiful sanctuary at Red Deer Lake United Church, located immediately south of Highway 22X, 8 km west of Macleod Trail S, Calgary. Turn at the lights at 53 St. SW then left on Spruce Meadows Green.
